Feeding America recognizes that a balanced diet is essential and works towards providing people with fresh produce in rural and urban areas, hands-on educational workshops for healthy eating, and continuously research how to better serve people nutritionally. 

Feeding America states, "Each year, 72 billion pounds of food goes to waste while 37 million Americans struggle with hunger." By finding innovative ways to rescue food and prevent waste, Feeding America works towards getting perfectly good food to people who need it the most.

As the nation's largest domestic hunger relief organization, Feeding America helps 1 out of 7 Americans each year and is able to serve virtually every community in the U.S. 98% of all donations raised go directly into programs that serve people in need.
